Smooth Goods Movement from Pickup to Delivery

At TruxHire, we provide truck booking and goods transportation support through our platform. This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how pickup, transport, delivery, delays, and related responsibilities are handled for bookings made through TruxHire.

1. Service Overview

TruxHire connects customers with available trucks, drivers, and transport partners for local and long-distance goods delivery. Delivery timelines, truck availability, and service coverage may vary depending on pickup location, destination, load type, truck type, route, traffic, weather, and operational conditions.

2. Pickup Process

After a booking is confirmed, the assigned driver or transport partner will contact the customer for pickup coordination. Customers must provide accurate pickup address, drop location, contact details, load details, and any special instructions before the trip starts.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that goods are ready for loading at the scheduled pickup time.

3. Delivery Timeline

Estimated delivery time may depend on:

  • Distance between pickup and drop location
  • Truck type and load type
  • Route conditions
  • Traffic and weather conditions
  • Loading and unloading time
  • Toll, checkpoint, or permit delays
  • Driver availability and operational factors

TruxHire aims to support timely deliveries, but estimated delivery times are not guaranteed unless specifically confirmed in writing.

4. Loading and Unloading

Unless clearly mentioned during booking, loading and unloading services may not be included in the truck booking charges. Customers may need to arrange labor for loading and unloading at pickup and delivery locations.

Additional charges may apply for loading, unloading, waiting time, extra labor, or special handling requirements.

5. Goods Packaging

Customers are responsible for proper packing, labeling, and securing of goods before pickup. Fragile, valuable, liquid, hazardous, or sensitive items must be packed safely and disclosed during booking.

TruxHire or its transport partners may refuse transportation of restricted, illegal, unsafe, or improperly packed goods.

6. Delivery Confirmation

At the time of delivery, the receiver may be required to verify the goods and confirm successful delivery. Any damage, shortage, or issue should be reported immediately at the time of delivery.

Once delivery is confirmed, the trip may be marked as completed in the TruxHire system.

7. Delays in Delivery

Delivery may be delayed due to traffic, road closures, weather, vehicle breakdown, government restrictions, strikes, natural events, or other unavoidable situations.

TruxHire will try to coordinate and update the customer in case of major delays, but shall not be responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control.

8. Restricted Items

Customers must not book transportation for illegal, prohibited, dangerous, or restricted goods, including but not limited to:

  • Explosives or flammable materials
  • Illegal substances
  • Weapons or restricted items
  • Hazardous chemicals
  • Perishable goods without proper arrangement
  • Live animals without prior approval
  • High-value items without disclosure
  • Any goods prohibited by law

9. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing correct pickup and delivery details
  • Sharing accurate load weight, size, and item type
  • Ensuring goods are ready for pickup
  • Arranging loading/unloading if not included
  • Providing required documents, permits, invoices, or e-way bills
  • Being available for pickup and delivery coordination
  • Paying applicable charges, tolls, waiting charges, or extra service fees

10. Damage or Loss

TruxHire helps customers connect with transport partners and drivers. Any damage, loss, shortage, or dispute related to goods must be reported immediately with proof such as photos, booking details, and delivery notes.

Claims, if applicable, will be reviewed based on booking terms, transport partner responsibility, and supporting documents.

11. Failed Delivery

A delivery may fail if:

  • Receiver is unavailable
  • Delivery address is incorrect
  • Goods are refused by receiver
  • Required documents are missing
  • Location is inaccessible
  • Customer cancels after pickup
  • Additional charges are not paid

In such cases, return transport, waiting time, storage, or additional delivery charges may apply.
